I bit the bullet today and purchased my very first cell phone. I've always avoided them like the plague. My friends all cancelled deer camp because of catching covid, so I'm going solo. only way I could get the wife to agree was with a phone/tether.

Seemed pretty easy actually, once I figured out the tapatalk thingy... Will see once I hit camp, might even be able to join the LFTS threads for once.

Get a cell phone tracker app on your phone. Keep the phone with you when you at all times. If something were to happen to you, it will make it easier to be found.

Was told, can't confirm, can't your phone be tracked anyhow? If not then I'll look into it before I hit the woods. Thanks....

Turn on the GPS for the tracking stuff

But, and a big but make sure you turn off the location tags in your camera settings

The camera location thing turned on is fun when they send you "secret location" morel pictures.
