Well guys it is not an upgrade in terms of points, but I was able to harvest my target buck tonight. He was cruising and got by me out of range. I pulled out the grunt tube and brought him back on a string. 25 yard shot and he only went about 60 yards. He dressed out at 184# and had a 19" spread. While thrilled, it's kind of anti-climatic. I have never, not had a buck tag for the gun opener. I have a very good gun spot. I offered to take a young man that is the son of a friend in there tonight.

Well I put one down today, 9pt. Look over, here he comes at 40 yds, oh yeah he's a keeper for me. Made a good shot at 8 yds, my kind of distance, lol.

BTW, I love the grip on your bow. Duct tape and all! You can tell you're an industrious Michigan deer hunter! :)

Hunting has been hot or cold the past few days which is expected this time of year. I did see a nice buck bumping does around this morning and passed a 2yr old Thursday morning as he was cruising.

I was able to take a doe this morning.

    Congrats bigal106!

I had my decoys out last night, had a nice 10 take a left hand turn at 100 yards straight towards me & then got my wind and busted out at 45 yards. He didn't even give me a second to shoot him, he just took a hard right and snorted his way to the next county! Was a bummer!
