Good going Mike, congrats!
Not so many buck pics lately, but they're around. Almost go time.
I'll hunt next 4 days no matter what weather I get
I’m making the trek back to the farm tomorrow to hunt the weekend. No way am I missing this cold front this time of year!
We received almost 5" of rain since last night, now the wind is blowing 30+. A lot of my summer bucks have disappeared on the cameras. Still have the does here though. Bucks will be back shortly I would assume.
Movement has come to a screeching halt where in Leelanau, at least where I am.
Got a glimpse of a shooter yesterday afternoon at 50 yds in cover. He didn't respond to calls. Checked a cam nearby and got his pic. Excited to say the least.
Little better look at him...
Nice bucks guys.
Boy, was last weekend slow! I didn’t see much movement at all besides a few small bucks and fawns. I will be hunting November 5-10 so hopefully things pick up.
Boys, I scored on a big 10 pointer this morning. Thank You Jesus!!
He came in on a trail and I drew at 20 yards or so, but he turned and came to the other side of the tree I was in. I'm in a split trunk so I have a trunk in front of me too. I had to swing the bow on the other side of the limb at full draw to get the shot at 5 yards. He took off and wound up crossing a creek and stood blowing blood on the other side of the creek. He grunted really loud 4 or 5 times and then I heard nothing. I gave him 45 minutes before getting down. He was an old brute with a graying muzzle. 15" inside spead. We just added 17 points to our total!
Bear Wild bow, Victory VAP Sport arrow, IQ Bowsight, G5 Striker broadhead.
Congrats on one heck of a buck Brian!
