Tawas lake

    Anyone fished tawas lake this time of year, heading there next weekend for 4 days, any tips would be appreciated.

    Pike bite should be good, another 3 to 4 weeks for the good 'gill bite......Tight Lines !!!

    I have caught pike all over that lake. The far north end seems to hold the biggest ones but it isn't easy getting to them. You really need a mud boat or an air boat to access the really good areas of Tawas Lake. The pike will slam white buzz baits, white spinner baits and large swim baits. I even caught a 20" walleye casting for pike a few years ago. Good luck !!!!
