hey guys, my son just finished wrestling season so we haven’t been able to fish much anywhere. And we have never been to Lake Erie. We live in port Huron. But he joins the Army in July so not much time left to just have a good father and son time. So anyways what I’m getting at is we are trailering his sled to Lake Erie this coming weekend. We will get there Thursday night and stay til either Saturday night or Sunday. I just don’t know much about where to take him. He really enjoys the perch bite, I enjoy anything biting. If someone could private message me or email any details of where to go and launch sled I would greatly appreciate it. Would even be willing to meet up and buy you a breakfast one of those days. Just looking where to go and try to hope he has a good time on the ice. Thanks guys in advance. Tight lines! My name is Jeff his name is Jeff jr. email jdryan31@yahoo.com

Also be willing to trade Erie perch info for the soon upcoming spring walleye by me if needed. We kill em here once the ice flows are gone.

Not so sure the ice will be safe enough. Maybe someone here with first hand knowledge of the conditions will respond... Ice on Michigan waters of erie can be pretty sketchy especially without a lot of experience on it.

Won't happen here..might be able to get the sled out to 8' of water..but nothing is there...unsafe after the shove...take him to lsc or Linwood..

NOBODY is fishing Erie on machines, barely any are even walking out. There a reason there is no reports the ice is not safe. Go to sag bay the fishing is awesome and it’s close to home.

You must be somewhat silly or very optimistic. Just sayin'

Port Huron? Safer places to fish north of PH.

Brest Bay ice is shady. Was out there yesterday . With all the snow on it it all looks the same but it is far from that. I got to 14 fow but was only about 4- 5inches of ice. 20 feet from there it was only 1 spud and through. All the snow has stopped any icemaking out there. I sat til dark in 14 fow and didn't mark a fish. I was hoping but i kind of knew better that i needed to be in 16+ out there for better results. I wont be out there unless im in a boat. I spudded my way out and checked with auger in several places.
