    Yep - I am glad I have lots of gear already, and a buddy that has hooked me up time and again for ice stuff.

    Seeing the asian clam dinglberries and such for like $3 is just stupid.

    My 20+ YO StrikeMaster Mag III will make me cry when it tanks.

    It isn't because I paid like $239 for it so long ago; it's that it has been so reliable for all that time & has only cost me plugs, gas and oil. (besides stupid things I BROKE)

    Nowadays if you want an auger nobody is getting out for less than about $500 unless you buy a lump of junk....

    I was wanting a new power auger but it looks like I will be picking up a new drill instead.

    I'd also add some small treble hooks to your arsenal. I'm talking size 12-20. tipping those with a minnow is deadly on the specks some days

    While everyone is stocking up, don't forget to carry a few plain #12 Aberdeen hooks. Some days when fish are pressured, I've had good luck hanging a wax worm skin on a bare hook.
