How do you guys think the Super Moon, which is supposed to be the brightest in many years on the night of November 14 will affect the opener. It is supposed to be very bright on the 13th, and 15th as well. If the weather continues to be warm and that damn bright moon, it could slow movement down during daylight hours for sure.

I think when people start shooting at them on the 15th, that might get em movin a bit!

I predict the moon phase will have as much impact on the firearm opener as the price of tea in Beijing on the previous day.

Yeah opening day is a different beast. Everything you did during bow season can be thrown out the window. Just being in the woods is your best bet.

The supermoon just means I'll hear the 1st gun shot on opening day at 430 am instead of the usual 530 am.

I'm thinking midday movement should be good, from 11 till 3. I'm planning on a long sit

Moon shmoon. For the gun opener.

Only thing on a deer's mind on opening day in MI is how the heck not to get killed! Lol

When bowhunting, a full moon will usually coincide with better mid day movement.

Well, if you wouldnt pack the freezer so early in the year, you could heat up the barrel with a shot or 2 yourself to help that out.

Yeah those are good mornings to sit out later than usual.
