I get text messages every year just prior to shooting light asking what are the legal hours. I take a screen shoot of the hour table. Note there are 4 zones going east to west so know where you are. For whatever reason the DNR doesn’t publish January times or compensate for the sunrise/sunset difference north to south.

Thanks! Put it on my locked screensaver. It looks like I'll be hunting this year.

I have been using the same plastic coated copy in my blind for 22 years.

Being in the Central Time Zone, I have to add 12 minutes and subtract 1 hour from the published chart. It is a PITA but I do it every year and post it in camp so everyone can take a photo of it.

A friend with cell service in the woods has a couple weather apps that get used a lot during season. The local sunrise/set is prominently displayed. Adding/subtracting 30 mins is quick and easy. If you have service are there advantages to the chart? Looks more complicated.

If you have service/internet, looking up for your precise location is way better. Sunset/rise can vary fairly substantially depending on lat/long so I really prefer to look up for the exact spot, which is more precise than a chart and futzing with adding or subtracting on a rough basis. More precision and certainty is always a good thing when complying with a law...

Since this is in the Disease Sub-forum, I was just curious as to what disease this will help mitigate. :D

Actually, my vision just after first shooting light, and just prior to last light has never been that good, and although I have only had a couple of opportunities at those times over the years, I refrain from shooting at those times.
