Drove over the Huron River in Wixom. Saw one lonely soul staring longingly into the water. Locked em up right there and turned around. Turns out it was Centerpinking pre planning his attack plan for the first Saturday in April. Claimed he had all new strategies. Kept talking about how the fish changed tactics last year. Kept him up at night. Things got weird as he kept mumbling “drives fish wild” over and over to himself as if I wasn’t there. I crept back to my car as he was still talking at the water. Went out for beer two hours later. Drove the long way home and went past the river again. He was still there. Keep it together Centetpinking, keep it together for our sake.

Staking our your spot is key.. I wasn’t staring. I was focusing on riffles and runs. One must study the river before stockerfest, one must be one with the river, one must know how to drive fish wild. To all stocker festers.. know the river, learn the river, BE the river. These are tricky times on the huron... fade into black....

Watermelon chewing gum stuck on the back of a streamer works well too. Get the net! It's almost time...

Remember folks, easter Sunday is for family and worship, not stockers. Fish will still be there the next weekend

No, everyone go Sunday. Jesus was a fisherman and I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you go to church first. Take the family, especially kids, with you. I'll go on Monday when everyone is gone...

I've found the best fishing is right as the stocking truck is pulling out of the parking lot. Those fish are really snappin then.

If someone could post a picture of the flyer or tell us the numbers, that would be awesome!
