    Wish list
Nice lakes, good fishing, good deer hunting, snow but not too much, decent health care.

I currently have a small place in Indian River, while I like it there the hunting is not so good, winters are a little long and rough for me and healthcare is poor. I have been looking at places in Grayling / Roscommon area, East Tawas, St. Helen, Houghton Lake etc.

Problem is, I dont know anyone from that mid Michigan to the east area. Am I on the right track for my wish list or should I be looking somewhere else?

I live at Higgins lake, there's a lot of rivers lakes and streams, and hunting.theres a lot of public land in Crawford and Roscommon countries, so plenty of room to roam. But you will never find deer hunting comparable to the AG areas. Other than that it's a great area.

I think there is a place that is next to ours for sale. Has a house, barns, garage, and I think 70 acres. Was logged 3 yrs ago and the habitat is getting thick. It is in Mason county and under aprs so the hunting is pretty good. Lots of deer and turkeys.

Anything west of 75 and north of Higgins lake is going to get a fair amount of snow, comes early and stays long.

If you want descent healthcare live near traverse or a larger area. The majority of the smaller cities like Cadillac/Manistee are known only for their incompetence.

Thanks Guys, I found 24 acres just outside Indian River for a steal so I picked that up, just need to close. Its 10 minutes to Indian River and 20 minutes to Cheboygan with quick access to both Burt and Mullet lake and the north property line borders 1000 acres state land. I figure I will hunt it a few times and see how it does, if I like it I will invest more, if not I can almost double my money for what I got it for.
