Landed this 33"er today. My best ever.
Fat fish. It's funny how weight can vary so much w steelhead. Caught a pretty lengthy fish last year that was as skinny as could be and it was a male. Had just the opposite this year with some football types. Thinking of starting to carry a scale.
I don't know if I want to carry a scale. I can make him as heavy or light as I want. Lol.
Gonna try again tomorrow. Hopefully there are some fish left after this awesome weekend.
The fact that I get to go steelhead fishing twice in 6 days means I already won.
I'm perfectly fine going fishing. I never go "catching".
Hope your going in Northern lower. Feel its pretty cooked in mid state.
Every day fishing is a good day.
Nice fish. Looks to be a winter hold over. Hard to judge weight on these fish. But anything over 15 pounds is a wall hanger in my books.
I agree. I'm seriously thinking about a replica. I'm thinking it would look awesome in my shop among my neon lights.
Just got back. Went 0/1. No biggie. It was a fun 30 seconds. Caught a huge number of brookie to keep ourselves entertained.
Had to head out early. Stuck a fly in my neck. Left my plyers in the truck. Didn't hurt too bad. Kind of freaked out my fishing buddy tho.
I was expecting to see a pic of that new boat in the river! Nice
