I have been out exploring a big state rec area the past few days near where I live. I cannot believe how many Treestands I have found. It is like like a sporting goods store out there. They are on ridges, state wildlife plantings and in the in the swamps. It seems like guys think just because they leave it there, they their territory marked. The sad part is that only one had a name and number on it. I can see why so many get stolen and then guys bitch about it. If I read the regs right, weren't they supposed to be down already?

Some have been up for years. Just get used to it in the end. You can hunt from them by they way...

All you have to do to have them taken down is ribbon one big time after season. surprisingly most of the stands nearby disappear along with the one ribboned.

I wish I had the money to spend on a blind to leave in the woods for somebody to steal. I could come on here and whine about the dirty sob that stole my stand that has been in the same tree for the last two years.
