Good luck. Went there for the first time this summer and got hooked on this lake. Already booked a cabin for 2018

Thanks. This is my 16th year going there. We go in the 1st week of June and last week of September. This trip will be different. The guy I go with father's house that we stay on the lake burned down a coupleft of months ago. We are staying at his brother's 2nd house just west of town. it is not on the lake so we are going to have to trailer the boat.

What made it awesome for my wife and I was the mixed bag of fish we caught. Several walleyes, crappie, gills bass and pike All on the same lure so you never knew what you were gonna catch

Yes you can catch a big variety in the lake. Each trip we end up wit eyes, pike, gills, large and small mouth bass, sunfish, perch, bulkhead. My friend and I have a contest who catches the biggest variety species. We only fish for eyes while we are up there.

Staying on S Manistique lake wife & kids (12 & 13) in late July for vacation. Taking the boat & really want to get them on some fish. Any suggestions? Doesn't really matter what kind of fish, as long as there delicious & the kids get some action. Really want them to have a great time so they want to do something like this again. Ulterior motive? Maybe;)

You should do well on gills pretty much anywhere on the lake
There are tons of pike and no minimum size limit
It a great area I'm sure your family will love it

I’ll be there at the same time!!! Our second year and we’ll be making it an annual. Not a bad spot on the lake. We did real good last year on every species!!
