Yes we were down at Pte mouille and seen the chopper circling real slow. Ended up talking to the missing persons Uncle. He went out yesterday afternoon and hasn’t been seen since. And he showed me his car and the police and fire were there. It was a very sad Empty feeling. We are praying for him.

I just came back from about an hour of early fishing off Campau. Coast Guard helicopter was circling while I was there about 7am.

Current coming down the Huron. Conflicting current from the Detroit River. The wind is often bad. People don't know how the currents work down there.

There's a lack of respect with many smaller rivers and streams. Lots of bridge and tree jumping in Gib canals and the Huron. Told mine he looses his dirt bike if i find out he's bridge jumping.

I never bridge jumped. I did jump freighter wakes with my boat on the Detroit River! We had that rope in the tree, in the back cove in "Hidden (International) Lake".

Swung off that rope several times. As a skinny punk is was a job getting it to the top of the barrel. Saw several people not up high enough and drag off the rocks on the way down. Some even splatted on said rocks not landing in the water.

Seems beer had something to do with most of those boo boo's.

Seen many groups of inner city kids down there kayaking lately. I know they have life jakets on, but can you swim? If you can't swim, stay out of a kayak. Life vest or not. Not in the huron after a hard rain. Just my opinion.

I am one of those that didnt get high enough on the rope. Ended up with my face at the waters edge and my feet facing up the bank. I was one big scab on my chest and legs. I miss the good old days of my youth. lol

Be careful, with posts like that you might have a "peaceful" protest in front of your house soon, with Al Sharpton leading the chanting. :p
