Steve, I'm sure it wasn't easy writing the post and reliving that very tragic event. Good on you for trying to make some sense out what happened by helping others avoid it. I am in my mid 50's and couldn't get more than 3 minutes on the treadmill stress test. The cardiologist had me do the nuke stress test 3 weeks ago which is the most accurate stress test and about as simple as it gets. Results came back "no evidence of cardiac disease". So no real explanation of my intermittent chest pain. I am going to take your example to heart (sorry) and call the troops if I'm fortunate enough to get a buck. Same with set-up and tear down of my ladderstand. Plus they will have my location GPS'd on their phones. Safety is priority 1. Godspeed to you and yours. It will be a difficult deer season for you for sure. Godbless. Steve W.
