I’ve never fished Erie so any input would be great. Taking the grandson out on Sat morning. Not looking for specific areas. Thanks in advance

There are lot of baitfish swimming around now. I fished out there about a week ago and the smallmouth, largemouth, and walleye were grouped together chasing them around. Watch for segulls diving, and maybe focus on some shoreline areas that have rocky bottom coming out. Detroit River mouth always has smallmouth out there. Just drag some tubes along the main channel. Lots of humps on the U.S. side just this side of the shipping channel. They move alot this time of year, so it may be more difficult to find them. I think current would be your best bet.

Best hint is any dredged marina, creek or river channel edges or flats.
