Any body ever use custom jigs&spin slender spoons for perch? What perch lures do you like best?

I’ve caught perch on the small slender spoons as well as the 3-4 inch version. Usually tipped with a minnow or 2. I’ve done better with the gold color over the silver also.

I jig with a #2 or 3 jigging rapala with one rod ALWAYS, then keep a Hali down with a minnow, keep a third rod rigged with a bead spoon

It’s my best lure, hammered in 1/8 ounce is great for walleye and jumbo perch. 1/16 good for perch in general. I tip with a small minnow Head.

#12 mamaruska jig in yellow and orange or just gold. Spelling is wrong but my mammie sure catches them up with two spikes.

Remember to run power pro and tie florocarbon leader. Less stretch and more fish caught. An in line reel reduces bait twist.

Tingler spoons and tumblers also are killer.

Ran my #12 green mamaruska tonight with three spikes. Worked like a charm. Black Betty in line with power pro n florocarbon leader attached. Interesting the perch were eating baby bluegills. This rig will destroy them on any body of water.

I’m sure that’s correct, however the 1/8 slender is great for both big perch and walleye.

Hard to beat a Marmooska! I use a untralight pole and open face reel with 2 lb. Mono, works great. My best color over the years has been brick and red with a white dot. That color has caught hundreds of gills, Crappie and perch!
