Would be kinda cool to name your county and tell us if you've heard more shots or less shots this season. I was thinkin there would be a S-ton more because of the doe with combo tag thing but not sure if that's happening.

Ottawa county. Hunted a lot less than a normal year and didn't hunt the opener. 16 and 17th heard 1 shot. Hunted 4 other mornings and this morning I heard my second shot. Local processor had them piled up. Talking with the neighbors overall deer numbers are down. We speculate a lot of people took up bow hunting again

Arenac County, I've hunted just about every day, shots are WAY down. There have been evenings I haven't heard a shot which is unheard of. We have state land near by too.

Opening day was dead, same for day two. Day three was steady but then died off after that. Hunted 6 days in Alcona County and no one shot very close to us at all.

Mason county was down compared to past few yrs. Thought they would be more than normal with the tag system and able to shoot does but definitely not the case.

Alcona County opening day between five of us heard one shot only!! We wondered all summer long if there would be a lot more hunters because of covid and working from home! And especially a Sunday opener!!But hardly any cars and two people out of are group seen deer opening day then nothing next three days .
