I will be in Norton Shores this weekend and would like to know if any shore fishing opportunities around there. I was planning on doing some salmon fishing, but it sounds like they're not in yet, so I'd like to catch some perch or walleye from shore.

The Lake Harbor bridge on Mona Lake, you can fish from the old roadway.

you could try the muskegon channel/pier, or the river by the causeway. lake harbor is a good spot too, never know what you'll pull out of there.

I'm willing to go to Grand Haven or Whitehall as well. It cannot be a long walk to get to the spot anywhere that I could go though.

You could go south to port sheldon. They have a board walk that goes out to the pier. There are walleye, pike and salmon in the river or off the pier
