If one was to plan a Thursday to Sunday trip to Saginaw bay to troll for walleyes between now and thanksgiving, when would be the best time? I have fished the bay a couple times, but want to do it more.

I’ve been chasing two sons travel baseball teams for the past 2.5 months, it’s fishing time.

Later the better in my opinion. If you're not a deer hunter ... Usually less people opening week

Late Fall Trolling can be some of the best of the year, fish are staging and have the feed bag on, good time of year to catch a wall hanger. ;)

You got that right cleaver. Normally around mid to the end of October it starts getting consistent for me anyway in the river.

Like everyone said, the river jigging should be hot then also if the bay is windy.....also that's about the right time for perch too! So many choices. :D
