I guess my definition of APRs is when you must kill a deer with no less than "X" amount of points a side. That's the choice I made buying the combo tag but it just still seems to me that it's an APR system. 3 on a side/4 on a side is an antler point restriction. Then trophy specialist says it's called hunters choice regulations. Makes sense also. It's my choice so I'll go with Hunters choice regulation with an APR.

I don't need to question aprs.
    They are a horrible regulation.

Hey cakebaker is on my deer hunting contest team leave him alone!..... Who is his old banned name anyways? This banning sh$t is getting old. Management needs to lighten up a little. Geez kicking all the good guys off these stupid threads would be dead. Have to have a conversation with Steve at the Legends party with all the other banned members.

For the sake of antlers is right, where they can grow, they have always done so. But it took a lot of time , work and effort to get a big buck.

Only when the rut was on they would let their guard down some.

In todays world the apr gang want it easier by forcing their way. In their minds throphy antlers will be multiplying fast and deer hunter presure will deminish. All they would say about that is, “lt’s a win win”

Many big bucks are born in the dark, lived in the dark and died in the dark.

Lets go back to the family dreams of hunting a buck or a doe and in the traditional family hunting days.

We need at time of deer license purchase a poll to see what the true majority of deer hunters want.
1.) any buck or doe Yes or No.
    Or
2.) do we want acronyms (apr’s) Yes or No.

“Lets go back to any buck or doe, and watch the number of deer hunters grow.”

State wide it's overwhelming. APRs are the minority. Let's face it, Michigan has never been a trophy buck state and never will. The best way to grow more and bigger bucks is make it a one buck tag state. Get rid of the early Sept youth hunt and make it the 2nd weekend of October. Just my opinion. The CDW issue will come and go like other issues have and in the end the DNR will have more revenue and still less big bucks.

As I send this response I'm an hour south of the Mackinac bridge heading north to my deer camp in the UP. I can't imagine Michigan without the upper peninsula. It's the place I go when I want to get away from all the hunters and get away from it all. No the deer aren't like they used to be up there and I really don't see big bucks like I used to but I love it all the same. To me it seems to be a self-managed piece of ground. Mother nature just does her thing and human interaction is it really necessary in my opinion. Feeding and baiting deer in the upper peninsula does help though

You need to wake up and introduce yourself to 2019. I beg for the day for a cash register apr poll.

Not only that but if it wasn't possible this site would just be Steve and a bunch of hacks who cant shoot big deer.

Hopefully Steve is at the party on Friday and we can chat about this with all the other cool people.

If there was as much support as claimed. You wouldn't need them to be mandatory.
