I bought a 10/22 just over a month ago, I bought a magazine with it. It was a 25 rd Ram line magazine. It jammed 1 to 2 times a magazine at first but has gotten better so it usually jams 1 time every 50 rds or so. I would like to find some really reliable magazines that work all of the time not just sometimes. What magazines do people use? Any expirence with butler creek steel lips or champion magazines? I recently bought a hot lips magazine and it jams over half of the time. Any input would be great. Thank you. Sent from my VS501 using Michigan Sportsman mobile app
Fill you mags to compasity and while your watching TV press the top round down with your thump and with little pressure on it let it rise back up and keep doing it with after market mags not made by gun company sometimes this works
I have had enough issues with after market mags, and the cost of genuine Ruger mags is very good when you look around. I only use Ruger mags, I have several of each, BX 10, BX 15, and BX 25s
the ruger mags are good, the one that came with my gun never jams, I would find an original ruger one for the gun if you can
same here. have multiple magazines from other manufacturers and they all jam occasionally. my ruger bx 25s have never jammed
I agree that Ruger mags are the way to go; however my old 1981 10/22 doesn't like any lead round nose bullets;but works well with any .22 with a copper wash.
Hunting we use the OEM 10 round mags. Screwing around hitting moving action targets etc we use these, and they have been so reliable with CCI MiniMags that I wouldn't hesitate to depend upon them for more serious needs. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1168310909/
I also have a couple Butler creeks never an issue I also have the Ruger 25 I think over time the Ruger will remain same maybe Butler will gain issues
