What happend this Year? Last few years was pretty solid almost all Summer long for Eyes N the River. This Year we was getting em good all Spring & into June than they just shut off for us. Haven't been out in A while but haven't seen any good reports for over A Month. I'm sure not being allowed into Canada has hurt some.

I was down at the river today and not even one boat out fishing.Talked to the guys working Wyandotte and he said nit many fishermen out for the last couole weeks. Also there is still good numbers of walleyes in the river buy every year this time its super slow. Wait until the water temps drop down below 70 and watch how the fishing kicks back in.

I picked up one at random in the upper Friday evening. Wasn't targeting them, just dragging crawlers on the bottom for whatever. Got 5 sheep heads too, including a master angler.

I can almost promise if we could go in Ont. water we'd be catching fish, not limits (never fish long enough for that anymore), lol....but yes, even the US side is not it's normal self !....so maybe queens side is goofy too ?....I know 5 guys that have given up scratching their heads for fear of making a bald spot ! lol....not really "funny" either....

One is the best handliner I know, who's been doing it almost as long as I've been alive !....???....it's plain nutz & is not normal....

Fished the Mid River today from 10:00 to 12:30 . Put 1 walleye in the box and lost 1 at the boat. Plus 4 sheephead. Was bb 2.2 to 2.5 using pink and purple blade. Water temp 75. Great day to be on the river no crowd and easy in and out at the ramp.

For sure. Ripped drag all the way to the boat. I wish the sheep came in like Wally in the spring, I’d be out there just as much. One of the hardest fighting fish in Michigan imo.

Haven’t been down to the river in months, thinking about going tomorrow. So is it still “you can’t fish in Canada” or can you really not fish in Canada? Last I was down there the worst they would do was ask you to leave

Nope not confused at all. Spent plenty of time on the river this spring during all the crazy sh*t, had a good feel what could be done. Interacted with LEOs twice and never had a problem

I should add, I understand your point. But I look at it on the enforcement end, not what’s the worst case scenario. Maybe that is dumb, but that’s the way I’ve always been

The border is still closed officially, not sure about enforcement. I gave the upper a shot 2 days ago thinking something may have changed after the cold front, fished close to the imaginary line since canada had a nice stain to it. Got 1 small eye and a 18” smallmouth in 35-40 fow on BBs. Nothing but farm animals and weeds while jigging and pulling wire. Hoping you’ll do better than I did!
