John I see your location is a bit of a riddle but I’m in TC. You’re welcome to try before you buy.

SteelDeal I just talked to Mark Wheeler from Huntin Wheelz. Monday I making my way up to Farewell to pick a bike up. I was impressed with his product and the bike is Michigan made. Little more than I wanted to pay but oh well I’m saving on shipping and a nice discount for paying in cash and it comes completely assembled. Early Xmas present for me. Hopefully I’ll be able to try it out this year.

Yes I forgot about quietkat. Never heard of huntin wheels until I read this thread. Cool that they're assembled here in MI but like I said all of the parts are global and basically coming from only a couple different suppliers.

If you have hilly terrain the mid drive is the way to go

  9. I want one that will easily do the most rugged terrain even if I don’t need it. Then I’m covered no matter what. I always would rather have overkill rather then not have enough bike for the trip. I’ve always been over kill on anything I do. Never hurts to be over prepared.

  10. Did you get the rear drive or the mid drive?

John it’s rear wheel motor. The bike is perfect for my terrain. Mark expressed to me that hills and valleys are not an issue for this bike. High quality Panasonic ion battery is definitely a plus also. A lot of bikes I researched today were using off brand batteries. That didn’t appeal to me whatsoever.

Ok new twist in my buying a bike saga. Himiway E bikes. (I think thill mentioned this company) They hit me back with maybe an offer I can’t refuse. Newer Co but has a solid bike that is comparable to any I researched. Great YouTube reviews. They sent me an email last night wanting my business. 750 watt basic bike called the Cruiser is $1349..Fenders are $89 bucks a piece and rear rack is $69 I believe. I wasn’t into paying extras right now for accessories. I wanted the complete bike. The offer is for

    Free:
    Complete 2 fender set.
    Rear bike rack
Free All top tool for all the hardware on the bike.
    Free shipping
    Free hat
    No sales tax
2 year Warranty on the bike and battery. (Samsung battery. Rated #1 EBike battery)

$1349 out the door. Only small glinch is 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Huntin Wheelz bike is $2000 and I have 2.5 hr drive to go get in Farwell to save $125 on shipping which I’m willing to do. It’s hard not save $650 and I don’t necessarily need the bike this year. No hurries.

Does it sound to good to pass??
