Just want to make sure I am reading the regulations correct. I have been taking out my granddaughter and an extended season sure would help. Am I correct that you can shoot red squirrels all season? Also, you can only shoot a shotgun out of a elevated blind?

Red squirrels are open year round with valid base hunting license. Hunting from elevated stand for small game not sure.

Not sure why you would want to shoot a shotgun out of an elevated blind but I believe it is okay to hunt deer with a rifle that way, so why not. You may want to check with the DNR. Have a good time.

I was thinking of shooting squirrels out of your deer blind with a 22, making it much easier for my granddaughter. However it seems like that is illegal if I'm reading it right.
