I’m on chantix as we speak. It’s not great but gonna see it through. I have vivid dreams sometimes but not nightmares. When I take the pill in the morning I definatley feel sick for awhile. If I have a cigar it doesn’t taste very good. I’m defiantly not as mentally sharp but I need to quit so I’ll endure it. It is helping a lot. Also you still go through withdrawals on it. The sencond-fifth day I didn’t sleep a wink. That’s when I usually cracked with cold turkey. Good luck guys.

Stick with it! I quit using only 2 weeks worth of chantix 10 years ago! And never put another cigarette in my mouth again. All thanks to my mom, who also quit at the same time on the first 2 weeks of chantix, and sent me the final 2 weeks of hers and I quit on that. One of the best gifts she could have ever done for me

Smoking killed my brother , could not quit.I remember when I was a kid he came back home to kick heroin cold turkey. That he done, but could not quit smoking. He said that quiting smoking was harder than quiting heroin.Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances there is.Glad I never tried it.

I smoked black and milds pretty heavy for a few months, I think it's the only way I was able to get past the cravings. I just slowly quit smoking them all together athough I will have one on occasion if I'm drinkin!

7 years this month. 2-4 cans of kodiak a day for 21 years. You could tell me it was not bad for you and its free and I still would never go back to being a slave.

Last December I went to my doctor for my annual check-up. I told him I had some shortness of breath lately. He asked how long I’d been smoking. Forty-eight years, I said.

He said, “You should quit. Cigarettes are bad for you.”

    So I did.
