That was my first thought when I got back on here -- That it's pretty quiet. Usually, people are shouting from the rooftops that the kangs are in. lol

My go to salmon spot is over the flow charts and climbing I have not been fishing there in 3 weeks. More rain expected.

People finally figured out that when they post, they mess up their own good fishing. FB is also wrecking good spots with reckless abandon

Atleast 4 northwest Michigan rivers have fishable numbers. Go get them!

Probably because it's not exactly a great bite yet. A few fish around, and snaggers already poking them. Weather has sucked too, with warmth, humidity, and sunshine.

It will get there soon enough, and everyone will be catching fish, turning pro, and posting. Don't fret.

Saw quite a bit of snagging already, not enough fish for them to outfish me but they were sure trying!

Yesterday my kid was out with a buddy and they heard one dude say "I've never seen so many salmon in the system with out any biters". My reply to my kid was - 'this dude must not have fished salmon too long'. It's that time again. Hurry, everyone leave the trout alone and go chase salmon. Those warm-water olives will bite one way or another!

I'll be up checking out the clown show Labor Day weekend.......I watch the entertainment and then grab the spawn off of them when they toss it......they don't need it!! I get my supply of fresh fillets while they are still in the big lake. Combat fishing near the piers will probably be in full gear this weekend and beyond!!

I floated spawn, drifted flies, tried spoons and body baits, nothing, nada!
Dudes jerkin yarn and drinking beers were yelling FISH every few minutes.
I think they had more fun than I.
