I'm just guessing, but Maybe the Badger had a problem getting docked.I think they do a complete 180 to dock.Plus the Princess of Ludington had to blow her horn to get people out of her way. So in some way its getting too congested.Princess had to Blow her horn Wednesday evening.

What's the "princess of ludington". And if people don't move so the badger can dock they frankly deserve to be run over

Is jigging productive at night? I been searching around and can’t seem to find a definitive answer. I get that morning and evening are productive times, but I enjoy the night shift and am planning a trip for next weekend. Just wondering what people’s thoughts are. Is it a don’t ask, don’t tell kind of thing? PM me if you’d rather not say out loud.

    Thank you

I’ll most likely be doing it anyway. Just wondering if anyone had any input

What about non-commercial boats that are not in the commercial channel? Trollers that are offended by a guy dropping anchor in an out the way spot can pound sand.

I have no issue with trollers taking a fairly close pass, just don't act like you own the water. Pleasure boats and jet-skis that want to run circuits 75 feet away are another story.

Does Jonah make a glow jig? I bet that would be awesome.

I'm think about shooting up there next Friday and trying this for the first time. Could anyone give me some direction on what jigs I should be looking to buy for the trip?

Also, do you jig right on the bottom like ice fishing for perch?

    Any info would be appreciated!

P line laser minnows in the 2 oz size are my favorite. Colors vary, but you should get some before you come up since every place around Ludington is cleaned out. Glow green and super chartreuse have been decent. Half the fun is loading up and seeing what colors you can get to go!

Some guys swear by Jonah jigs, but I've honestly never touched a fish with them. Always seems to be the laser minnows.
