My nephew is about 685 inches short but he is well on is way to having more deer down before his 18th birthday than many will shoot their entire life. Lol He's a very efficient hunter and he's only 10 yrs old. If he learns a little patience he will get to 700".

LOL Good luck to the little man, I'll be keeping an eye here on his success in the coming years. So, he's got a buck under his belt HUB? Post away!

As you can see in the picture, the morning mist had yet to clear the field. I was sitting with him in a double stand in giant oak about 60 yds from where the deer died. The buck walked in blocked by one of the very large branches so the first time I saw it was about 30 yds away. This was about 10 min after legal shooting light so still a little dark and he asked me if it was a buck but never worried how many points it had. He just wanted some antlers! I confirmed that it was a buck and then moved the muzzy into place on the shooting rail for him and he did the rest. I think he's up to 5 does down.

Congrats to your nephew, that's awesome. Your 685" short comment kinda lead me to believe spike down. But hey, that's okay, look at that smile on that young boys face. Job well done HUB.

Great thread! Love seeing the kids getting outdoors. Making plans to get a couple of my kids friends who’s parents don’t hunt out this turkey season.

Great thread Pat. My boy is a long ways from 700” but the journey to get there will be a blast. He’s 8 and already has two bucks under his belt. Best hunting buddy ever!!

Peyton started off with a bang 125 3/4"... Next two I'd have to look for measurements to know.

Whacked him a nice bear that we will have to have skull measured to see where it lands.

She is 13 & yes just a 6pt. He was a 6pt at 2 years old also, she killed him at 3 years old. He was very noticeable he had a broken nose. First pic is him at 2 years old. 20140811_161110.jpg him at 3 years old, i could be way off but believe he scores between 110-115". 20150724_204754.jpg 20150830_071705.jpg 20150830_071759.jpg
