Its a ramp, an upward slope, not a wall nor a hard stop and knowing the impact is there and bracing for it, is definitely doable without injury especially if he just did a short burst of throttle to lift the bow up just before impact for effects.

He succeeded in what he did by getting everyone to believe it was worse than it actually was and that they may or may not have caused injury and as long as the adjuster believes it thats all that matters but looking at the pic and knowing the seasons over it's just hard to believe it was an accident.

I can think of 24 reasons that it could happen by accident.

Remember how the guy furthest from the ramp would always do a half roll towards the guy next to him in case the jumper didn't have good enough altitude?

With 5 boys in our family there were many near death experiences as well. I think we should start a new thread and call it "how I managed to survive my childhood" or something like that.

My brother used to jump a big ditch on his unicycle. I think he turned 20 before he never had a scab on his face or head from doing crap like that.

Can't remember but he probably tried it. He built a fire in the ditch and jumped it one day. He was a daredevil for sure and that was way before the Duke's show.

He turned out alright but we all thought he'd kill himself one day, especially on the motor cycles. He still rides.

Is that what happened? Sorry man. I sold mine and miss it, but I am 57 and not as rad as I used to be. DRZ400. Miss it so much.
Did it happen on road or off road?

I've seen as many boats full of downriggers and rods on the rocks as pleasure boats. That would include charter boats as well. Pilot error isn't reserved for the cocktail crowd.

I fish out my canoe in fall in that area. Some of those big boats come flying in. If they see my lights, they must figure I’ll get out of the way or the water will wash the splat off.
