I was in Petoskey today for a Doc appt. Several folks were fishing downtown at the highway bridge that crosses the river there. I don't know what they were fishing for....maybe steelies??? There is a big waterfall there and the bridge crosses right in front of it. That is where they were gathered around.

The Cisco action is still good on the bay, we managed 14 in 3.5 hours jigging (we usually troll) so we figured we did ok. Alot of bait out there, at one point it was 45 feet thick. 20201024_140241.jpeg 20201024_133416.jpeg 20201024_140727.jpeg

Nice catch! Sure is tempting to go one more time, Tuesday was probably my last trip of the season, and was a great way to hang it up for the year. Awesome fishery.

Today is a light and variable wind day. If you're going...today looks to be a good day.

Out of Elk rapids right now. Not marking bait or fish. Been out an hour. Nothing.

Still nothing. Marking only a solitary fish or two. Empty graph pretty much.

John....well done sir!! Is the fox the first one ya got this year? My CG bud in Wisconsin got yote the other day that pulled the stake out and he had to chase into a pond.

I got another Doc appt on Wednesday then I'm off to the cabin for that thirdy pointer chasing da' ladies.

I was actually targeting coyotes, I have a bunch of em. The fox was an added bonus. I hate them yotes, no real beef with the fox.

Here's that yote my buddy got that pulled the stake, took off and had to get fished out of the pond. He said the water was a little cool on the grapefruits.

John - what time of the day did you get your deer? Did you see much mid-day activity?

I shot him about 6:30. He was grouped up with 5 other bucks. I got out about 1330 & had action right away. That was the first day of good deer movement for me.
