I saw your rig parked in the street while I was scouting this morning John. I think I am going to try to get out and jig this afternoon.

We went out of ER this am. Picked away from 7-10 and ended with 8 scoes trolling. No schools like last couple weeks at any certain depth. Bite has been better for us with the north winds lately. Nice sunrise and about 12 boats in the area. 20200919_073344.jpeg

Managed five today, bite we as scattered. That was it for me, the old girl is goin in the barn. Was a pretty good season. Cought a few more kings this year with fewer days on the water & had a blast with the Cisco. Enjoyed sharing the season with you all, I’ll still be stalking on here watchin reports. & for the record, I do appreciate the work the dnr & fish & wildlife do, these are trying times for all of us. Espically Nick, he needs a raise for having to talk to us all at the ramp. lol. Good luck all, be safe! 74F33E2F-F968-421A-A292-C616656767E2.jpeg

Good seeing everyone on East bay this morning!
I pulled a couple flasher flies around from 8-10:30am. 2 scoes that I tossed back. I will be back for them next week. I had a nice fish on for a while that pulled about 150’ off the spool, gained it all back then came unbuttoned. Man was I bummed but that’s fishing. I will probably try the same thing tomorrow morning.

Speaking of Ciscoes and putting away boats-hold on for just one second now.

For the first time hosting, The NWMI Fishing Club is organizing for and conducting the 4th Annual Cisco Challenge on the 3rd of October in Sayler Park (Yuba launch). We will be adhering to the previouse Cisco Challenge program with the same routine and rules.

Breakfast and registration at Yuba 0700
    Lines in 0800
    Lines out at noon
Weigh in, Trophy Presentation and lunch (fish fry!) at 1pm
    Public Club meeting after lunch

    Free to all
2.5 bonus pounds for a kid on the boat
2.5 bonus pounds for a female on the boat

So, don’t get all “puttin the boat away”. You still have a point to prove after your summer full of practicing.

One thing 3Dogs forgot to mention in the "rules"for the Cisco challenge is to mention is you weigh in your heaviest bag of 16 Cisco's, don't think that's out of the realm the second year I was in it we caught 33 Cisco's in the 4 hours, plus I had a child and a woman on board. We ended up winning that year. There is no money involved just bragging rights and a lot of fun.

it really is nice, not long ago it was a dirt hill that you needed 2 vehicles & a come a long to get a 14 footer in there. I like the ramp surface, good traction.

Thanks for the kind words John! It is appreciated more than most know!

I'm up in the soo right now pounding the pinks and whitefish. Hoping to make a few trips for jigging cisco when I get back.

Ended up 6-10 today on cisco, also got 1 whitefish - that was a surprise to me! Fished 3 until 8 pm. Picked up the first handful trolling, and then picked up 4 more jigging. Schools were very scattered. Best trolling lure - silver streak mini - "confusion". Besting jigging spoon was a 1 oz white Swedish Pimple.

    110-130 fow was best.

Also picked up 5 lake trout, including a 6 lb fish jigging.

I jig with an ultra-light and he put up a great fight. We'll see if the weather and my schedule cooperates enough for me to head up again soon.
