And one of the best squaws we've shot.
Call me crazy but I’d make a trip south just for a prime spoony.
So would I, but deep down I'd really be gunning for a stud pintail.
Nice Spoonie!! I shot one this morning as well!!
Grinner and lawn darts. Love it.
They decoy so well, I don't think they can see with big ol scoop lol. For a few seasons I was hunting Point Mouillee regularly and it got to the point I wasn't shooting them(immature birds). Then I made a trip to fish Point and was covered up in em. Started shooting them on public lakes I grew up hunting. Damn things were following me around I swear.
Nice long tail also!
Good ol’ late season trash ducks!
I've only seen them during teal, I'd like to get a couple smilers too.
Here's one that I shot in January while hunting in AR. Excuse the poor photo quality as bird in storage.
You still picking on those old mud hens?
Once in a while we take some new guys out.
I'd love to mount one, mostly cause I don't shoot them and they... don't taste good? Never had one honestly. Or shot one.
Cool looking bird for sure I'd love to see one up close.
Man must still be a lot of algae around....
Late for spooners.
