If they need quick cash they auction them off. Here are some bucks that were auctioned off last month. 2 pages worth.

Why are we are still allowing hunters to import antlers and meat from known CWD areas with no over sight or documentation, even though time and time again they have ignored all the rules.

Because almost all the deer are tested. The high prevalence could be to the limited area and high deer density

You mean like how deer meat and antlers along with live deer from enclosures are moved all over the state or do you mean how farmers move cattle infected with bTB all over the state?

Exactly, thousands of deer are being moved in and around the state, mostly by hunters but also a few by deer farms. If we were serious about containment both would be verboten.

All live cattle should be tested prior to movement too but sadly the USDA and MDARD think it’s a much better idea to save a couple dollars and the inconvenience trumps passing it along to humans and wildlife.

I have been making some inquiries, getting some information from friends and am trying to find where this place is... I am curious to see which facility this is.. If it's any that are close by to me I'm sure that I can find out, as I know people who work at several of these facilities... Time will tell...

If it's any of the ones I have inside info from I certainly will let you know... I hope not as it would mean that they are geographically very close to me..

Well today I was able to find out which facility in Newaygo county had the 3 CWD positives... I won't use any names but it's located in East central Goodwell township.. It's one of the oldest facilities of its type here in the county. It also borders Mecosta county..

It's also 4 miles from where I am sitting typing these words.. (sic)

As of this moment the facility is working with the State to figure out how the best way to facilitate the depopulation of this facility.. There are still deer alive within the boundaries of the ranch as of this moment..

This is a very old facility it's the oldest one in the county I know of.. This is also just a part of a multi location ranch... The other part being in Mecosta county... This is 2 square miles I'm talking being here in my township..
