Fished the opener, and a few days after. Fishing was good the weekend, and got tougher with the weather. Overcast, cold, wet, windy. That was the theme for the week. I made do and picked away at them.

The run is all over the board for everything right now. Walleye, steelhead, and suckers are all spawning, spawned out, or not yet spawned. The cold front really put the walleyes off compared to the first morning. Jigging was all I did, but saw fish caught casting stickbaits(decent) or drifting minnows(very few). Always fun for me, as this is basically my opening day tradition.

That color caught my eye last year and I just really felt it ought to be a good one for eyes. Looks gobyish. Pearl, Albino shad, and blue ice were the most consistent for me.
