    ...balls by his stoopid grandpa/me. I told him how to cast it, and he did it very well. He was reeling it in, when I noticed the two part rod was loose. I straightened it and then I don’t know what I was thinking, but with him holding it I rammed the top into the bottom part. He didn’t know what I was doing and the bottom of the rod hit him.

    Dang.....he laughed, but was in some discomfort. How stupid of me. Cripes.

    Rammed the tip section onto the butt section? Can't say as I've ever put a 2 pc rod together like that. I typically gently press the sections together, as I twist them to align the guides. When I was a kid, and we used fiberglass rods with metal ferrules, it took more power to connect the sections.

    Some day he'll tell his buddies about his fishing experience with Grandpa, lol.
