My first time turkey hunting was last year on a friend's property. We doubled up on some jakes. I was hooked. He invited me out again this year. On monday last week I missed a nice Tom that snuck in behind us. I had put in the wrong choke :< and just tickled him a little. He flew off and didnt see any signs of a solid hit. I went back out on Wednesday and pretty much the same thing happened. A nice Tom snuck in from behind and caught me off guard. Luckily he was too focused on the decoys and never slowed down. I had the right choke in this time and dropped him at 27 paces. This is my second bird and first Tom. 23 lbs, 5oz. 9 1/2" beard. 1 1/8" spurs.
