I'm doing a little research today. Getting ready to brew my first batch of beer solo. Our first batches were done with Johnny. I relied on him for his knowledge of chemistry and procedures. So I pretty much just did what he told me to do. This time it's all up to me. I'm gonna do another batch of Smoked Porter. Our first batch was awesome!

This batch is for you Johnny, I'll make you proud!

Extract kits are good and hard to .mess up....to badly. Biggest thing is to keep it clean and safe.

Yep, it was a Smoked Porter kit with Liquid Malt Extract.

It's in the catalytic fermenter now. It should be fine. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be. But emotionally, not technically.

May be worth toasting your helper/teacher with, despite the tear...or need another attempt.
    Points for trying though.
    Onward!
