Just wondering why is dnr still calling it muzzleloader season. When you can use any gun legal in that area.
Probably because you can use a muzzleloader statewide in early to mid December. Another way to look at it that the DNR doesn’t call it archery season when you can use a bow of many different configurations from mid September through the end of January.
I think it's just the southern lower portion or zone 3 which is open to any legal rifle during muzzleloader season. Zones 1 and 2 which are the Upper Peninsula and Northern lower MI are still restricted to just muzzleloaders. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
The way I read the hunting guide it looks to me like the exception to allow limited firearm during muzzleloader season is only in the "CWD area". Can someone clarify?
ah.. nevermind... I take it back I was still using the tentative regulation book they had sitting out there until the official one dropped. Now I see it.
Muzzleloader season for me opens nov 15th,i may be the only one in the limited firearm zone who doesent have a 350 or 450... Hahaha
Wrong, Encore will be, Why not complain about the shorter season in the lower also? How about shooting ANY deer on state land during the late anterless season in zone 3 with a ML?
Okay. So now I am confused again. I see the exception where zone 3 allows muzzleloaders on public (instead of just private) during the late antlerless season, but do see where it says you can shoot any deer. It is still just antlerless correct?
Read it just like you said. The NRC passed ANY and the dnr quoted it in the regulations. Messed up, just like it has been discussed in other threads.
