Anyone been on the Muskegon river lately near Croton? I am curious about ice conditions near shore which may make bank fishing tough. Any good input greatly appreciated

I fished Sunday, below the dam is clear of shelf ice on both sides, shouldn’t have any problems. Flow was decent. I don’t know how it it is further downstream.

That’s pretty wild, I guess that’s when you know you have them dailed in. Interesting rig too- I’ve seen some pretty creative rigging for eyes on that system.

I did actually get a small walleye while I was up there on a floated marabou jig- my only fish of the day. Maybe a male that showed up a bit early for the party
