In the spirit of, "what you listening to" today? Because people 'just can't wait', and music isn't just for Fridays anyway.

(See also: Toofer Tuesday, Hump Day, and Threefer Thursday, as well as the good 'ol original 'Friday' thread)

The Friday Music Thread Theme has been here a long time before I ever posted a thread. I didn't invent it and it knows no real rules for days of the week. That is just the day it was created and has been a sort of tradition here over the years...

I cannot explain the longevity of the current tread but it took a life of it's own, it'll die a life of it's own. On that note I'll post this tune here for ya...

Thanks for the info, I can appreciate that. Just to be clear, it's not my intent to: offend anyone, tell anyone what or where to post whatever they wish, or kill any traditions or any new ideas. There's not shortage of hate in the world, and I can only hope I don't create or stir up more (especially over music). If these threads 'die' I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I love that tune. If I thought of it, I might have posted it on Hump Day or the Friday thread myself. :)

They have been one of my favorites since the early 70's. They were formed in 1970 when Carmine Appice (Drums) & Tim Bogart (Bass) from Vanilla Fudge wanted to form a "Led Zeppelin" type group.

They had Jeff Beck on board but he had to bow out due to a car accident at the time. They then hit up Michigan's own Jim McCarty (Guitar) formerly of Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels and The Buddy Miles Express. They also brought another Michigander on board, Rusty Day (Vocals / Harmonica,) who had been with Ted Nugent & The Amboy Dukes.

I'll definitely check them out. Of course I knew of 'Vinnie Paul' Appice (not to be confused w 'Vinnie Paul' Abbott) but didn't know of Carmine, that I remember anyway. So far (from the guitar in 'One Way or Another') they remind me of early Black Sabbath.

I saw Ted at Sherwood Forest, in Davison MI, just as this LP was released
(1973) and this was one of the songs they kicked some serious butt on.
