I have noticed by watching the pics that the kings look alot slimmer in Michigan than last years fatties....That's a beauty of a fish, but I bet it would have been 25-28lbs last year. How long was it? I'm thinking 38"-40"?

They typically skedaddle by late may and start showing back up mid to late july.. but.. always a few around. Sporadic kings are being caught

Didn't get a measurement. He did look a little thin. Fight was fun while it lasted.

He? No eggs inside? That would make it leaner.

Looks like a big male to me. Proportioned head to tail. I caught a 25# male a few years ago that was 39" long. My son caught a 24# hen that was 34" long. Females are shaped like killer whales, sorta like dem ones 'ole Jake talks about in da ice fashin' parking lot....

Historically at least on my boat the biggest and heaviest fish to hit the deck are males. Last two years had two over 30 and both were males. Biggest hen iv seen is 28 lbs

Skinny fish? 17+ and 19+ and neither one bent to fit in a 96 quart cooler.

I took my camper over to my buddies house near scottville saturday for the rest of the season. I'll take the boat over and start fishing next weekend. Missed all of the season last year working in California. I'm ready for some screamers after catching walleyes for a month and a half. Went to the new captain chuck's location and it was very nice. Dropped a quick $150.00 on a bulk spool of 20 lb to re-spool my reels and a couple of new full cores. A flasher and a couple of meat rigs and strips and that was it. Also went to the campground and got a seasonal boat launch pass for $60.00 more bucks. Didn't even fish and dropped $210.00. Good fishin!
