Don't you just need to select the iceducer, set to ice fishing mode & go?

Well, before I bothered setting it up I was wondering about issues with the touch screen in cold weather. (If there are any) I use an elite4x, but since this unit is just sitting waiting for warm weather I was thinking of setting it up as well.

To clarify “setting up” I mean installing on an ice box and buying another transducer.

Probably not until next year since we just lost Saginaw Bay ice.

The iceducer is expensive, and I used a skimmer when I set up a Hook 7 to try out.

Folks I've read posts on insist the screen works OK.

I just can’t seem to find much talk in my searches. I only have the total scan transducer for it so that’s kind of out of the question to use on the ice. Thank you Robert for the info.
