I was hoping the water would have cooled off but no such luck. The surface temperature is 70 degrees. Spoons come back warm to the touch. I do hear a few guppies jumping. Out of temp kings? Carp? I did catch a small mouth on shrimp under a bobber. Time to wash a different spoon.

After 2.5 hours I gave it up to go back to bed. At one point the water was completely flat and no sound at all. Then a king porpoised a few feet from me and I tried to jump out of my skin.

1 mile out can be a huge temp difference from the pier heads

Tonight should be the window before the big winds come. The one guy literally lives within casting distance of the harbor and he's so busy he can't even think about going for a short walk and cast

Currently on a central, west side pier. Water is 51. Bait is everywhere. Few guys out but no one has grabbed the net. Could be good tonight.

Saw tons of fish jumping. Had one hit, but apparently I'm "getting old". Swing and a miss!
