Fished LBDN hard fore 2 days this past week to catch 1 small walleye. We had some Whitefish swim through too but wouldn't take our offerings. We fished north between Center and Third reefs the first morning, didn't mark a thing for 3 hours and the water was super cloudy so we moved to the meat hole to finish up day 1. The second day we fished off the Terrace in 35' and marked and watched (on camera) more fish than we had seen the first day. 2 Nice Eyes and quite a few Whities. Was supposed to go back up next weekend but the trip is long and the fishing lacking. I think we will hit Saginaw Bay instead. Talked to a biologist at the ramp in Gladstone and he said that with the recent colder temps, the water has cooled enough to effect the Eyes and they will be locked down until the last week in Feb or first week of March, then watch out! Good luck all.
