Nice! Way to go OGB!
Way to go OGB, Hope you have something longer then a turkey tote to drag her with !
Figure out what you shot yet or did I miss the post?
Lmfao. Thats my cousin
I killed one of my biggest bucks ever on opening day of bow. Saw legs of three or four deer moving in the trees about 40 yds away and then a tree shaking. Grunted and he stopped, then started rubbing again. Twice more and he headed my way, stepped out from behind a cherry tree at 15 yds, done.

Not much to story. Buddy hunt with 2 others and we setup close to road 2 guys on the edge of a swamp and one up a ridge on an oak flat in an area I’ve hunted a couple time before and have seen deer. Bumped into another hunter working our way in which was odd as I’ve never encountered anyone at this spot. After asking where the other guy was hunting I doubled back a little closer to the road. Got settled in the saddle quickly and quietly overlooking heavy trail going in and out of thick bedding going to the swamp. Trail had fresh tracks and was beaten down to the dirt so I figured it was getting some good traffic. First hour and a half was quiet, and right around 6:30 a couple doe came out and fed around for a few minutes. Both were good sized but the one broke off and instead of taking the trail walked in front of me at my 12 o clock and stopped slightly quartering to at 20 yards. I was already drawn and gently tensioned the release and the shot flew true. I heard a loud crack, saw her mule kick and run off and heard a lot of crashing. Shot turned out to be a tad high but got both lungs and must have deflected as it came square out the bottom of her chest. Barely any blood but dead in 40 yards. First public land deer!!
