Up and at em' in Iosco County. Hopeful for a great day. Slow for me yesterday. My buddy had one cruise by nose down so they are moving. Also had a few on camera. Good luck all.

Just parked the truck for the morning sit. Had a crazy drive over, popped over a hill and see horns in the opposite lane ditch. Jab the brakes and come to a stop right at the buck, he hops up quick and stands 15 feet out my window, turns and walks off! Bout 4 more seconds I woulda took a photo. At least a 2.5, thinking 3.5 yo. Had a clean 4 on one side and his left side was goofy.
Not sure what else was doin, taking a rest I suppose, good luck fellas, ladies, and kiddos!

 

With the current wind direction I don’t have many good morning spots and the best spot we have I’m giving up to my buddy and his boy. Been looking at maps since about 4am. Found a spot not far from camp that sets up good for the wind direction we have. Never been to that area so gonna sneak in at first light to do a hang and hunt. As the crow flies it’s only about 300 yards from where my buddy saw a big 10 last night. I have high hopes but low expectations

Stay positive. An off wind this time of year can be really good. Those bucks are covering ground and you can get away with a little more wind wise
