That’s funny because those 6’s I saw this morning always seem to be together. Good luck.
Back out in NELP again since yesterday afternoon. Very little movement, just a doe and I believe a fawn last night up on the ridge. Now sitting where I’d shoot a doe but all I’ve seen was something in the little field I cut through to get in. I assume a deer but it’s eye spacing seemed about 12” so who knows?! Grandson heading up this afternoon if girlfriend duty doesn’t waylay him. Beautiful morning.
Hoyt, could you elaborate bit about your stand? What is the light brown we see in the photo? How many acres are you hunting. Your having some good movement it seems like for so late in the year. I’m guessing you haven’t shot anything there yet? The reason I think this, when I plant corn I’d have late season action, right up until one of my buddies wants to shoot a doe. Then it dies down quickly, and they spend very little daylight time out in the field.
Movement absolutely died after 8. We need some snow. Neighbor is cutting siding with a circular saw. Loud
Nothing this morning, 9:16 and I just seen my first squirrel, I expected it 45 minutes and I’m out .
I'm sitting it out this morning folks. The knees are killing me. I also overslept. That could have been from the 1/2 cup of Crown Royal I had with my mini turkey last night. I did make myself a dandy breakfast this morning though. I'll send some tylenol tpwards the knees and try again this afternoon.

Feel for you. Good luck.
NF land Alcona county. Real quiet out here with no vehicles parked along this long dirt forest road. Siting on a oak ridge over looking a small tangle with a narrow long strip of swamp 50yds north. Good luck all.
Two baldies just slipped through the swamp behind me. Awfully dead here. Sitting til 10 then heading in
Just let an arrow fly at a doe. I can see blood from stand.
Getting ready to pull the plug on this morning hunt. Nothing. Not even squirrels. Back at it later this afternoon.
