Hopefully everyone had a good gun season. Strange year for me indeed. Still got 2 bucks. And some good memories at the rack shack camp. Good being on lfts with u all,was great to have in the blind. Shoot by sight and walk by faith. Over and out from carpenterbill.
Don’t blame you I think I will use my H,R muzzleloader it’s hell of a lot lighter than my HR shotgun and shoot just as good.I just hate cleaning it.But if lucky only shoot it once and then have nothing else to do
I really think my wife bought my encore ML because I used to clean my old CVA 54 cal in the bathtub! Lol. Strategy worked though!
WHAT, gun season is over . I mentored 4 kids this season and three where successful. When do I get to hunt . Honestly it's been the best deer season for me yet. I'll post my step daughters as soon as I can.
I took a stand in The Hickory this evening. Never killed one there. Too cold to post earlier. Glad I went. The cold and wind had them on their feet, but it was after 5pm. Unfortunately all I have to show for it is another failed conversion. There was a doe, fawn and one antlered spike together and transitioning from woods to picked corn. Couldn't get them sorted out and in a clear lane, even though they were within 50 yards. Then the doe ran past and sprinted to 100 yards and joined up with the two fawns already present. Why don't these does like hanging around field edges? I think the deer are burnt right about now. Looks like I'm 5/10, at this point in the season. Gosh, who would ever think executing a shot with a scoped firearm would be such a challenge? Don't tell the farmer. He'll say, "Why didn't you shoot the buck? They eat beans, too, you know!"
Had a ten point that I've only seen on camera skate by me right before dark. Looking left and he went right. More than 20. Sent from my SM-G970U using Michigan Sportsman mobile app
Ended up sitting outside some of some bedding area for final rifle sit, was hoping it wasn't too pressured from the deer drivers but all that came out was a set of fawns.
