Had a pretty good night. Doubled my deer sightings and killed a nice doe! [IMG]

So, turns out I accidentally hit the button on my whitetail'r unit while shuffling clothes and equipment, so it was not running prior to my last hunt. Makes sense because I hadn't noticed any ozone odor in the tub or on my clothes. Not saying they wouldn't have eventually scooted, but they boogered out noticeably faster than others that have picked up my scent. Might need to clean the plate, too. It fouls out after x number of hours.

  11. Sorry. I found your other thread. You tried the dog, now use the knowledge you have in regards to the lay of the land and what you think this deer did after all this tracking. Good luck.

You’ve done what you could & made a commendable effort. At this point, if you havnt recovered it you can chalk it up to the amazing strength & drive to live these animals have. No need to burn a tag on this one, learn from it & hunt on.

In my experience, one-lung hit deer have a 50-50 chance of survival, and a much lower recovery rate.
